Welcome to the 13th annual Colorado Environmental Film Festival (CEFF)!
Film has the power to awaken us to the world around us, educate us on important issues, and inspire us to act. For newcomers and returning attendees alike, one of the best parts of the Colorado Environmental Film Festival is that we are an intimate, local festival with a global impact! We are informal and friendly and try to match our audiences with films that will make a difference in their lives – right here in Colorado.
Join us this year as we proudly feature over 60 films from around the globe. These films will take you from the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado to the forests of India and help audiences gain a deeper understanding of issues ranging from climate change and a cleaner energy future to the survival of wildlife species and society moving toward zero waste.
2019 Highlight Reel
We are screening our 500th environmental film, Offshore, by student filmmaker Jenna Miller!
We feature our youngest ever filmmaker at only 6 years old, and his film The Color of Our Earth.
We have 18 first-time filmmakers and a host of veteran filmmakers including Susan Kucera and Jeff Bridges presenting Living in the Future’s Past as our closing night film this year.
We have movies from 6 countries and several World and Colorado Premieres!
As you watch these films, please remember that they represent someone’s point of view. Some movies represent several perspectives while others unapologetically portray a specific message or personal statement. These filmmakers are all passionate and care deeply about helping audiences gain a foothold on difficult issues facing our world. Take advantage of this opportunity to watch the films and interact with the creative people who make these movies. These passionate directors care deeply about the craft of storytelling and are zealous in their dedication to showing us the issues that affect us every day.
